2019 Graduate Student Creative Writing Award for Poetry Nomination

SAMLA is pleased to accept nominations of outstanding creative writing by graduate students for its annual Graduate Student Creative Writing Award, which alternates yearly between Prose and Poetry.

The winner of 2019's award for poetry will receive: 1) a $250 honorarium, 2) publication of the winning poetry in the South Atlantic Review, and 3) complimentary registration for SAMLA 91 in Atlanta in November 2019.

Graduate students who are current SAMLA members may nominate their own work. Faculty who are current SAMLA members may nominate the work of a student who is not yet a member. Students must become members for their work to be eligible for the award.

By May 5, 2019, please complete this form and attach a PDF containing 3 to 5 poems, totaling no more than 10 pages. All work must be unpublished at time of submission.
