2020 Graduate Student Creative Writing Award for Prose Nomination

SAMLA is pleased to accept nominations of outstanding creative writing by graduate students for its annual Graduate Student Creative Writing Award, which alternates yearly between Prose and Poetry.

The winner of 2020's award for prose will receive: 1) a $250 honorarium, 2) publication of the winning work in the South Atlantic Review, and 3) complimentary registration for SAMLA 92 in Jacksonville, FL (Nov. 13-15, 2020). 

Graduate students who are current SAMLA members may nominate their own work. Faculty who are current SAMLA members may nominate the work of a student who is not yet a member.  

By May 1st, 2020, please complete this form and attach a PDF of a prose work totaling no more than 6,000 words. All work must be unpublished at time of submission.
