Who are SAMLA's members?

The South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA) is comprised of scholars, teachers, and graduate students dedicated to the advancement of literary and linguistic scholarship and teaching in the modern languages. SAMLA is currently housed at Georgia State University in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Its membership extends throughout the southeastern United States as well as across the country and around the world.

What is included in SAMLA membership?

SAMLA members enjoy the following benefits:

• Eligibility to attend and participate in the annual SAMLA conference;
• Digital subscription to SAMLA’s official scholarly publication, South Atlantic Review;
• Digital subscription to SAMLA’s annual newsletter, SAMLA News; and
• Access to SAMLA's online listings of Job Calls and External CFPs.

How long does SAMLA membership last?

SAMLA membership must be renewed annually. Membership begins on July 1^st and ends on June 30^th of each year. Forms for the coming year are typically posted in January.
