Poster Session

For its annual Poster Session, SAMLA welcomes proposals for visual representations of scholarly work. The Poster Session, which features both traditional posters and new media projects, allows presenters the chance to share their research with attendees through graphic design and multimodal composition. We particularly encourage presentations that focus on the special topic of this year's conference, Languages: Power, Identity, Relationships.

On the evening of Friday, November 15, 2019, the Poster Session will be held conjointly with the Presidential Reception, which includes light hors d'oeuvre and an open bar, creating opportunities for discussions about languages and literatures in a dynamic setting. We welcome posters from undergraduate students, graduate students, independent scholars, post-doctoral fellows, part- and full-time faculty members, as well as all other prospective SAMLA participants.

By October 11, 2019, submit a brief description of your project and visual design to Dan Abitz, Associate Director, at [email protected] for review. To expedite the process, please include "POSTER SESSION SUBMISSION" in the email's subject line.

Limited technological support will be available for multimedia works. SAMLA Membership and Conference Registration are required.
